Major Functions:

 Customs Security and Enforcement which includes identifying, confiscating and reporting:

  1. Unauthorized agricultural products;
  2. Illegal narcotics;
  3. Counterfeit (intellectual property rights) products;
  4. Invasive & endangered species smuggling;
  5. Human trafficking;
  6. Illegal military weapons and technological device smuggling;
  7. Illicit pharmaceuticals;
  8. Unregistered tobacco products;
  9. Illegal fireworks;
  10. Non-compliance vehicles from foreign countries
 
Main priorities and challenges:

Lobbying for the adoption and implementation
of a Guahan Harmonized System, Modernizing IT hardware
and obtaining application software to connect all ports of entry   including the U.S. military installations, strengthening regional
partnerships, 30% increase in population, and massive surge
of inbound cargo caused by U.S. military buildup beginning in 2010
and beyond.
